Enroll at Ridgeline
Open Enrollment begins on February 4th, 2019, and will close on February 15th, 2019. Enrollment documents must be emailed to: firstname.lastname@example.org in order to finalize student enrollment. There will be a Lottery if needed on February 22nd, 2019. The week of February 25th, 2019 families will be contacted to advise of enrollment status via email.
Ridgeline Academy is an open enrollment school of choice. Any student eligible to attend an Arizona public school may enroll. Students will be enrolled during our open enrollment period, culminating with a lottery for grades in which not all enrolled students can be accommodated. After the open enrollment lottery, students will be enrolled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Every attempt will be made to accommodate students seeking admission. However, due to the capacity of the schools physical plant, the school is limited in its student enrollment. When that limit is reached, a waiting list is established based on the students’ enrollment date and time.
Ridgeline Academy offers tours on an as-needed basis. To schedule a tour, please call the school office at 623-223-1335.
Expected behaviors of students, parents/guardians, and staff are established at Ridgeline Academy for the purpose of promoting a supportive and nurturing learning environment. The following expected behaviors are critical to the success and achievement of our school community:
Attend school punctually and regularly.
Accept and complete school assignments neatly and on time.
Be helpful to other students and staff members.
Be courteous and respectful to fellow classmates and school staff.
Speak to teachers about academic and/or social issues any time help is needed.
Take pride in the school’s appearance and keep the school clean.
Adhere to the student honor code and code of conduct.
Make sure my child attends school regularly.
Check my child’s homework folder/agenda nightly.
Keep informed of academic topics to be studied in the classroom.
Attend all conferences scheduled with teachers and staff members.
Cooperate with teachers and staff members to develop strategies to benefit my child.
Provide a positive home learning environment for my child to succeed in school.
Embrace my role as having a primary responsibility for the education of my child.
FOR STAFF MEMBERS:
Model exemplary behavior and positive attitudes for student’s to follow.
Provide an encouraging learning environment for each student to succeed in school.
Work with all school community members to develop strategies to benefit the student.
Work with all school community members for the betterment of each student’s education.
Respond to all e-mails and other correspondence in a timely manner.
Maintain strict confidentiality about students, parents/guardians and staff members.

Students must be 5 years of age by August 31 to be admitted into Kindergarten and 6 years of age by August 31 to be admitted into First Grade.
EARLY ENTRY KINDERGARTEN ADMISSION
Students that will reach the required age for Kindergarten by December 31 may be admitted if deemed academically ready by school administration, in consultation with the parent/ guardian and teachers if there are available Kindergarten placements. Consultation among the parent/guardian, teachers, and school administration for non-standard admissions to Kindergarten shall consist of the following procedures: (1) the student shall reach the age of 5 by December 31 of that academic year; (2) the student will have a sibling enrolled in the school or a sibling will be enrolled concurrently for the school year in question; and (3) the student will be given a Readiness Screening including attending kindergarten boot camp at Ridgeline prior to admittance. The results will be given to the parent/guardian.
Early Entry students who successfully attend Kindergarten Boot Camp will be invited to attend Kindergarten Jump Start, where the student will attend Ridgeline Academy for two days prior to the start of school and enrollment. During this time the teacher will assess the student’s ability to keep up with the class. Before the start of school, a conference will be held for all early enrollment candidates after Jump Start to review academic and social skills and determine enrollment.
Notwithstanding any of the above, the school will comply with all enrollment requirements for charter schools that are sponsored by the Arizona State Board for Charter Schools (ASBCS).

We have formalized behavioral expectations for our Ridgeline Academy Eagles using "Teach To's." The "Teach To's" provide our students with specific guidelines to follow on our campus.
