My favorite quote is "we don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing." [George Benard Shaw] This quote helps me to keep going.
I became a PE teacher because that was my favorite subject to do from Kinder to College. When I took college PE electives, I decided to make PE my lifestyle and as I tried it out, I really enjoyed working with kids in PE, so it just clicked. I graduated from Perry High School, Lake County Ohio, in the year 2000. During my time in high school, I played golf, basketball, and picked up an interest in martial arts. After high school, I played golf for the local community college and after two years at the community college, I moved out with my family to Phoenix, Arizona. I then continued my studies and went to Glendale Community College and Arizona State University Polytechnic campus. I received my Associates Degree in Education and Bachelors degree in Secondary Education with my major focusing on Physical Education K-12. I am now a highly qualified teacher in Physical Education.
I have been with Ridgeline since the beginning in 2012. It is an honor to be working with Ridgeline Academy staff and community. I have a huge amount of joy and pleasure teaching at Ridgeline Academy and watching our students grow, learn, and mature.
