I moved here from Los Angeles with my family when I was 15. I started teaching 23 years ago. I have taught in the Paradise Valley, Scottsdale, and Cave Creek districts. I have 2 kids. My daughter, Abbie, is going into her sophomore year of high school. My son, Jake, will be in 8th grade at Ridgeline. I have been at Ridgeline since it opened 7 years ago.  I have taught preschool, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grades.  My favorites are 4th and 5th. My second grade teacher, Mrs. Fisher, was one of the reasons I wanted to become a teacher. I idolized her. She was firm, yet very kind and loving. My cousin, Patti, is another reason I became a teacher. She taught special education for many years, and is now working at a college training student teachers. She is one of the most kind, patient, and loving people I have ever met. I like to believe that I have developed many of the same character qualities as both Mrs. Fisher and Patti. I love to teach and inspire kids. I look forward to getting up each day and seeing my students' faces.  I love that every day is different, and evolves with each lesson I teach and each conversation I have with my kids. They become part of my family.  I couldn't imagine doing anything else!
