"Know and Grow"

"There is more to teaching than covering what is written in books." [me]

My love for children and my desire to see each individual student grow is what led me to teaching. I believe teachers need to be aware of the emotional state of each child. Children need our guidance and support in multiple aspects in life. It is a teacher's responsibility to understand the individual needs of each student. I believe this knowledge leads to a student's maximum growth.

I moved to Arizona in 2014 from Los Angeles, California. This is my 5th year of teaching middle school. I have been involved in the educational field for over 15 years.  I am a single mom of 3 beautiful daughters and a grandson. I have a second grandson on the way, he is due in November. In my spare time,  I enjoy watching baseball, walking, and spending time with my loved ones.  I received my Bachelors in History from UCLA and my Masters in Education from the University of Phoenix. I am very excited to be teaching at Ridgeline Academy.
