Nikki Marshall

I came to teaching later in life after realizing my real passion was to teach and make a difference in student's lives. I have an extensive background in the business field with an undergraduate degree in Business Management from Charter Oak State College in Connecticut and worked as an insurance agent for close to 12 years. Once all four of my amazing sons started school, I realized it was now my opportunity to pursue my real dream of being an educator and making a difference. I seized this opportunity and went on to pursue my dream. I graduated in December of 2018 with a Masters in Education from Arizona State University and a passion and drive for teaching. Every day I step into the classroom my heart is happy and full and I know I am where I was always meant to be.

My philosophy on teaching is to teach in an engaging and differentiated classroom that meets the needs of all my learners. No two students are the same, nor will they learn exactly the same way. It is my job to meet each of my students on their level and watch their growth and accomplishments. I believe in kindness and having a growth mindset and students in my class will know they are respected, they are loved, and they will get there, even if they haven’t gotten there yet!

I am a happily married wife to an incredible bass playing musician for going on 13 years and Mama to four amazing boys aged 12-6. When I am not lesson planning, I am spending my time with my family, hiking, and watching my boys in musicals, choir concerts, and various sporting events.

I am so happy to be a part of the Ridgeline Family!
