Ridgeline Poetry

Ms. Bock challenged her 8th grade class to "write a poem in a style of W. B. Yeats using vivid imagery." Three students rose to the challenge with this piece entitled "Final Day." Enjoy!

Final Day

Deep in the past
Surrounded by the sun
This day could always be my last
Running in the meadow, having so much fun

The feeling of serenity deep in my mind
I know now that i will always find
Somewhere to be surrounded by love
Following the little white dove

You can always hold your future
But never change your past
Live life to the fullest
This day could always be my last
